Piquillo Peppers: Discover their flavor and how to enjoy them

Piquillo peppers are one of the most valued products of Spanish gastronomy. Piquillo peppers from Lodosa are a variety of peppers originating from the Navarrese town of Lodosa, in Spain. They are characterized by their triangular shape, their small-medium size and their sweet and mild flavor.

Our whole Piquillo peppers from Lodosa are carefully selected to offer you the best quality. Each bell pepper is hand-picked and roasted in a wood-fired oven, which gives them a smoky and sweet flavor. In addition, they are peeled by hand to maintain their texture and flavor.

They are a source of vitamins and minerals, and provide health benefits thanks to their antioxidant content.

Tips and recipes

Grown in the Ribera del Ebro, in Navarra, these peppers are known for their soft texture and intense flavor, which make them ideal to accompany meats, fish or for stuffing.

Whole piquillo peppers from Lodosa are canned, packed in their own juice or olive oil, and are mainly used in the preparation of Spanish dishes, such as stuffing, salads, stews, among others.

To enjoy whole Lodosa piquillo peppers extra, it is recommended to heat them slightly before serving, either in a bain-marie or in the microwave. They can also be stuffed with different ingredients, such as meat, fish, rice, cheese, among others, and grilled in the oven.
